Trust.Zone VPN is a service based in Seychelles – a haven for VPNs due to lax data retention laws. It’s also one of the cheapest paid VPNs we’ve encountered, which still offers premium features.

Their official slogan is One You Can Count On’ Trust.Zone seems to be promising exceptional security and privacy. But can they truly deliver, or is this just an empty, exaggerated claim? That’s precisely what we’re going to discuss in this review.

The Pros

Trust.Zone is a VPN that does a lot of things right.

1. Jurisdiction in Seychelles

Trust.Zone, they have zero obligation to comply.

2. ‘No Logging’ Policy

A ‘No Logging’ policy means that the service will neither store nor track your traffic data using the VPN connection. This includes your IP address, destination URLs, session timestamps, metadata…etc.

Many VPNs promise to stick to a ‘No Logging’ policy but fail to do so. Fortunately, Trust.Zone is an exception because its government has no pressure to collect or monitor user data. Here’s Trust. Zone’s statement on this matter:

“All our VPN servers worldwide ARE NOT storing any log files to keep your privacy safe. All the usage data is anonymous and not connected to your real, public IP address.”

However, this doesn’t mean that Trust.Zone doesn’t collect any data whatsoever ever. As clearly stated on their website, they collect your email address to maintain communication with you. And that’s about it.

3. Industry Standard Encryption and Tunneling Protocols

VPN services use encryption standards to hide your traffic data. However, if the measure used is not very secure and is easily decrypted, a hacker with decent skills could view your information; fortunately for us, Trust.Zone VPN uses the most robust encryption standard around AES-256. A tunneling protocol is a way for VPNs to transmit your data undetected through public networks. The default tunneling protocol options are OpenVPN and Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol (L2TP). The former is open-source software with serious security capabilitiesMoreover. Moreover, it’s the default option on most top-tier VPNs, which speaks volumes about OpenVPN’s effectiveness. In contrast, L2TP is known to be much less secure, and we recommend that you avoid using it at all times.

4. Airtight Connection

If a VPN isn’t well-secured, you can expect your IP address to be leaked. DNS leaks and WebRTC leaks are the most common types you may encounter. The former occurs when there is a bug in the DNS server, resulting in the VPN connection being bypassed. As a result, the data you transmit will no longer be encrypted.

A WebRTC leak is when your web browser leaks your IP address while you’re using the service. Fortunately, with Trust.Zone VPN, you won’t encounter either of these leaks. While Trust.Zone isn’t the fastest VPN around. It’ll still give you enough download speeds for online shopping and even streaming movies. You can expect a speed loss of about 29% when connected to local servers. Hence, if your default speed is 100mbps, you’ll be capped at 71mbps while using Trust.Zone.

6. Unblocks Netflix

Out of the hundreds of VPNs available today, only a fraction can bypass Netflix’s regional restrictions. This is because Netflix makes an active effort to block VPNs and ban those who use them. Fortunately, services like Trust.Zone has servers that are specifically optimized for unblocking Netflix. These servers will change their virtual IP address every time Netflix tries to ban the existing one. This way, Trust.Zone VPN can always remain one step ahead.

7. Unrestricted Torrenting

Some VPNs block their users from torrenting. Trust.Zone not only permits torrenting but doesn’t place any restrictions on it either.

8. Kill Switch

A Kill Switch is a feature that blocks your device from accessing the internet when the VPN connection is interrupted. Your IP address and other traffic data won’t be leaked unknowingly.

Trust.Zone VPN offers some of the lowest prices for a paid VPN. Even on a month-to-month basis, the subscription fee is a mere $8.88. If you sign on to the Two Year Plan, this drops down to just $2.88.

Trust.Zone VPN Review – The Cons

We only had a couple of complaints about Trust.Zone:

1. Support for Devices is Limited

To be fair, Trust.Zone does support all of the major operating systems: iOS, Andriod, Linux, Windows, and Mac. This should be enough to satisfy the average user. However, Trust.Zone VPN is not directly compatible with smart devices and gaming consoles.

2. Sub-Par Customer Support

Customer Support is something that many VPN companies don’t place much emphasis on. Unfortunately, Trust.Zone fits the same category. There is no 24/7 Live Chat feature for starters, which means you’ll have to settle for email support. This wouldn’t be a problem if the response time were quick. However, that is not the case either. Users may have to wait a couple of days to receive an answer.

3. Limited Server Network

Surfshark, whose server numbers exceed 3000! Therefore, depending on where you live, you may experience a lot of latency with your connection.

There are a lot of benefits to having Trust.Zone as your VPN Starters. To begin with, it uses the most vital encryption standard and the most secure tunneling protocols available. Furthermore, the company adheres to a strict ‘No Logging’ policy, made possible because of the lax laws of its country of origin (Seychelles). In addition, Trust.Zone VPN will give you decent download speeds, prevent IP address leaks, and unblock Netflix for a very inexpensive subscription fee.
