Disney Plus Error Codes – What Do They Mean?

Since the release of Disney Plus, there has been a lot of buzz surrounding it, as plenty of Disney fans started to download the new application in order to watch their favorite Disney movies on the go, however, not all had the experience they were looking for.

Bugs and errors are, unfortunately, a part of any application, and no matter how lucky you are, everyone gets greeted with an error once and a while, which can ruin the fun. While seeing an error pop on your screen is annoying enough, it becomes even more frustrating when you don’t know what the mysterious code means.

In order to help with this issue, we have assembled a list of Disney Plus error codes, where we will look at what do they mean and present a simple solution for each of them. While our solutions should work in most cases, if the issue is not resolved, we advise you to contact Disney Plus via their email or Twitter. US residents can also call their support center directly.

Easy Fixes for Disney Plus Error Codes

Before trying any other solutions for Disney Plus error codes, you should first try three easy fixes first:

Check your Internet connection: First and foremost, you should check if your internet connection is stable. Quite a basic thing, yet very frequently overlooked in a moment of panic when the application is not working as intended. If come across any internet instability a simple modem reset should resolve the issue, otherwise, we advise you to contact your internet provider.

Sign out of Disney Plus application and sign in again: The simplest fix for most of all technical issues you might come across, yet also the most effective one. Any application can run into temporary issues that can easily be resolved with a simple re-log.

Reinstall the application: If resetting the modem and re-logging into the application does not fix the problem, reinstalling the application might. It is a more comprehensive version of resetting the application and it just might fix your issue.

Disney Plus Error Codes – Explanation and Fix

Error Code 4 -Issues with the transaction

If you see an error code 4, it means there is a problem with the transaction. As you might know, Disney Plus is not a free service, meaning the application ran into an issue when trying to close out the transaction.

Fix: Sign out, log back into your account, and check your billing details.

Error Code 5 – Account information

Error code 5 will pop up when there is an error with your login information. There is no reason for panic here, as you just might have mistyped your login info.

Fix: Double-check your login information, if you’re 100% you have entered it correctly, contact support.

Error Code 7 – Email or password issue

Disney Plus has a problem with the email or password you have entered.

Fix: Try using a different password and double-check if you have entered your email properly.

Error Code 8 – Invalid email or password

Similar issue as with error code 5, only here there is a problem with either email or password.

Fix: double-check if the password and email you are entering are correct.

Error Code 9 – Login or payment issue

Error code 9 can either be related to payment or login issues.

Fix: Check if you’re still logged in and your payment details.

Error Code 11 – Problem with content availability

You will see error code 11 when the content you’re trying to reach is not available in your country.

Fix: Either try resetting your internet connection or start using a VPN service with Disney Plus, in order to get your hands on content otherwise unavailable in your country.

 Error Code 13 – Device limit reached

As stated in Disney Plus rules, you can only use the service on four different devices and create user profiles for up to seven people.

Fix: If you use more than four devices to watch Disney Plus, you should log out of devices you’re currently not using or the device you’re using the least to avoid reaching the limit.

Error Code 22/35/36 – Restricted content

Some content on the application is not available, because it has been in one way or another restricted by you, the user.

Fix: Check if you have Kids’ Mode on, which can restrict some content presumably not suitable for kids.

Error Code 24 – Login or connection issue

A simple issue involving either your login or internet connection.

Fix: Try logging out and back in and check if your internet connection is stable.

Error Code 25 – Internal error

Possibly the most annoying issue. There is simply no way you can resolve it by yourself, as there is a problem with Disney Plus itself.

Fix: Re-logging and reinstalling the application might help, otherwise, all you can do is wait for Disney Plus to resolve the issue by themselves.

Error Code 30 – Issue with Device registration

You will see error code 30, when your device is not compatible with Disney Plus.

Error Code 31/73 – Issue with your location

While Disney Plus might be known all over the world, it’s not available everywhere. Error code 31 and 73 will indicate that the content you’re trying to reach is not available in your country.

Fix: Use VPN to change your location or try resetting your device’s location settings.

Error Code 32/87- Issue with Login or password

There is an issue with your login or your password, meaning you probably entered your password wrong.

Fix: Close and open the application and try logging in again. This time double-check if you have entered your login password correctly.

Error Code 38 – Problem with Time settings

Perhaps the most unusual issue, but luckily easily solvable.

Fix: Make sure your time settings on your devices are set to “automatic”.

Error Code 41 – Playback Issue

You will see this error code, when Disney Plus will run into a problem as too many people will try and watch the same movie/show.

Fix: Reboot the device or sign out and back in. If that doesn’t work, you can only wait and hope Disney Plus resolve the issue by themselves.

Error Code 42 Disney Plus can’t connect with your device

When you see the error code 42 Disney Plus, there is either a problem with Disney Plus’ service or your internet service.

Fix: Relog and reset your internet, if that does not fix it for you, you’ll have to wait for the problem to resolve itself.

Error Code 86 – Blocked account/breach of terms of service

Out of all error codes, this one is the most serious, as it basically shows your account is blocked.

Fix: Check if all the settings and information on the account are correct, otherwise, contact Disney Plus support.
